Craft Beer at Townsville Brewery

Townsville Brewery is a craft microbrewery located in the heart of Townsville, on Flinders street. You can check them out at here.

I was in Townsville as part of my Christmas road trip around Queensland, and feeling thirsty, I was keen to discover what some of Far North Queensland had to offer as far as craft beer goes and was happy to discover Townsville Brewery was open.

I decided to have a paddle of everything and see what floated my boat.

The bartender arranged the paddle in order of the taps so I would be able to keep track of what I was drinking.

1. Power Punch IPA

Nice bitterness. A refreshing IPA.

2. Tropical Coast Pale Ale 4.4%

Some bitter aftertaste. Tropical flavours.

3. SourPuss Strawberry Kiwi 4.4%

A delightfully tasty sour. Probably my favourite.

4. Townsville Bitter 3%

A very nice bitter beer. Loved it.

5. Legends Lager 4.3%

Awesome lager. Smooth and easy drinking.

6. Be More Pacific Ale 4.6%

Very nice. Simple yet tasty ale.

7. Darkness Extra Stout 5.5%

Guinness style stout, though a little lighter.

8. Ned’s Red Ale 4.4%

An enjoyable red ale. Could drink more
