I travelled South to Brunswick Heads to see Dave Hughes the comedian try out some of his new material for the upcoming comedy season. The gig was at the Picture House and I even got to say high to Dave afterwards but didn’t get a picture. So did it really happen? Of course it did.

Brunswick Heads is not far from Byron Bay but far enough to have retained its character. This is what the AirBNB looked like:

Prior to the show, it was dinner at the pub:

Steak and calamari – not bad! – and of course, an espresso martini:

Breakfast the next day was pretty good too, at a middle eastern inspired cafe just over the road. Everything is walking distance in Brunswick Heads.
