Fortitude Valley has a multitude of cocktail bars you can discover and I opted to hop between two hidden ones that you would hardly know existed when looking from the outside. But once you step through the doors it’s a whole other world.

I first snuck in to the dark Mr Mister. It describes itself as Brisbane’s very own LA lounge bar.

It has porthole like round windows and mirrors which are kind of cool:

We got there just before the above lounge filled up. As it was booked out we sat at the bar, but the place was almost deserted at first.

All the menu items are Hollywood based. I had a Brad Pitt (the one on the left) which was pretty tasty.

After knocking back my Brad Pitt, it was across the road to Finney Isles.

Hidden behind a blue door, the place is wonderful inside.

There are over 500 bottles behind the bar. The staff were excellent, friendly and talented and the atmosphere very  like a jazz bar.

I had an organic pinot noir rather than a cocktail, and soaked up the surrounds. As they had just opened, we were the first there, but not for long.

They also made an off-menu mocktail which included infused capsicum which was quite exotic.
