A short ferry boat from Anse Vata, Ile aux Canards is a must do if you are visiting New Caledonia.

It has a brilliant snorkel trail, sun beds for hire and a great restaurant bar.

I visited the island twice it was that good. An hour’s snorkelling, some time on the sun bed, a beer or two at the bar then a boat trip back to the big island for lunch.
