I stayed a couple of nights at The Windmill Hotel whilst enjoying the Clapham experience and it was the perfect place to explore the area and London itself.
The room was cozy and very comfortable with two desks, a window seat, excellent sized bed, modern bathroom and had a great view of the Common.
There is no lift, so you may have to traipse up several flights of stairs to your room. I was offered assistance from the reception staff which I didn’t need but at least that option is there for those who may struggle with their baggage.

The room had wifi, plenty of TV channels, A/C, and card controlled electricity.
It was very quiet at night, and of a morning all you can hear are chirping birds.
Downstairs, there’s a great bar offering up a good range of tap beers and two dining areas. The area open for breakfast only is a magnificent room with comfortable chairs and a high roof, an old styled English dining room that makes a full English breakfast an experience itself.
Outside is a good sized beer garden which, in the rare English sun, would go off, but unfortunately during my time I experienced only cloud, wind and rain.

For a B&B it’s a little on the more expensive side, but The Windmill is well worth the extra dollars for what it offers.
